Maldives
Out of the 1190 islands of The Maldives, only 201 islands are inhabited, so with 99% of this country being ocean, it is truly one of the more unique nations in the world.
The islands are coral islands, renowned as one of the world's great dive spots. The waters are warm and clear, excellent visibility for both divers and snorkellers. There are a variety of different resorts, each with their own character and charm. Choose from individual cottages on white sandy beaches, to over water bungalows.
Most popular months in The Maldives are December through April, during the northeast monsoon when the weather is hot and dry with only an occasional shower. December and February are the highest demand months for the resorts, so book early if you want to travel at this time. During the south-west monsoon, May to October, it is windier and more humid. May and June are particularly wet and probably best to avoid.
See the brochure for bonus offers during the south-west monsoon months, as well as year-round honeymoon offer.
