About Us

Adventure World was founded in April 1979 by its current Managing Director, Peter Newsom, and was the first travel wholesaler to introduce tours from Australia to India, Africa and South America. However, the company’s present day operations are predominantly adventure by destination, rather than by mode of travel, because it has over the years added more traditional regions to its highly impressive range of products.

Much of the success of Adventure World’s range of touring options is due to the companies and people we work with overseas to look after our client’s arrangements. Our operators are well known to us for their commitment to quality and service. The company’s diverse product range now covers France, Italy, Spain, the United States, Canada, Alaska, Greece, Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, Dubai, Oman, Bahrain, South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, China, Maldives, Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei, Cook Islands, Tahiti & Samoa.

Adventure World has been appointed by several international companies to represent them in the Australian market as General Sales Agent (GSA) or Preferred Wholesaler. These include; Acacia Adventure Holidays, Cruise West, Brewster Canada, Dragoman Adventures, Drifters Adventure Tours, Explore Worldwide, G.A.P Adventures, Headwater Holidays, Rocky Mountaineer Vacations, Trek America . The brochures for all these companies are distributed in Australia through Adventure World.

Adventure World is a member of the Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO), an approved tour wholesaler with the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA), and a licensed travel agency.
