For the past 30 years Adventure World have been introducing Australians to the Americas, Asia, Africa, Europe and beyond!

We are known for our understanding of less traditional tourist destinations. Frequent research visits by our team ensure up-to-date knowledge of each destination is made available to all our travellers.

Adventure World commenced operating as a specialist travel company in Sydney, Australia in 1979 and opened an Auckland, New Zealand office in 1984. Adventure World is a member of the NRMA Motoring & Services group of companies.

The NRMA [National Roads and Motorist Association] began in 1920 and started as Roadside Assistance & Advocacy. From the outset, the NRMA looked for ways to improve conditions for its Members. In 2007 the NRMA expanded its business portfolio and acquired four of Australasia’s leading travel wholesalers.

Today the NRMA has over 2.2 million members, generates $630 million in annual revenue, and $69.7 million in annual profit. It has $700 million in assets and no debt. It is one of the most trusted organisations in Australia.

The Adventure World brand is very well known and respected in the travel industry as it pioneered independent travel predominantly to India, Africa and South America in the late 1970’s. It is these key destinations that Adventure World is most regarded within the travel industry.

Throughout the late 1980’s and early 1990’s the Adventure World product portfolio continued to expand into Canada/Alaska, China, SE Asia, and Arabia. In the early 2000’s Adventure World launched new programs to Europe and regions of the South Pacific. We employ a team of over two hundred and thirty, trained as specialists in their destination. Frequent research visits by our team ensure up-to-date knowledge of each destination is made available to all our travellers.

Adventure World is a member of the Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO), an approved tour wholesaler with the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA), and a licensed travel agency.
