Small Group Tours of India

There are two Small Group tours of India to choose from in 2007 and 2008. Set departures are in the months of October to November and January to April. All are designed to give you a great insight into this complex country of colour, culture and ancient civilisation.

Palaces, Forts and Castles (9 days/8 nights) Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Mandawa - Bikaner - Jaisalmer - Jodhpur India's history lies enshrined in its magnificent palaces, forts and castles. Visit the Red Fort in Delhi, Mehrangarh Fort in Jaipur, Junagarh Fort in Bikaner, Agra Fort, Amber Fort, and in Mandawa overnight in the 240 year old fortress, Mandawa Castle.

The Golden Triangle (6 days/5 nights) Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Delhi To perfectly capture the grandeur of India, journey to the Golden Triangle, the confluence of the cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. A great introduction to the most famous sights within a week.

Varanasi (3 days/2 nights) Varanasi Located on the banks of the sacred Ganges River, this is one of the oldest living cities in the world. Home to Hindu's Shiva, it is also one of the holiest places in India and "must-see" on any traveller's itinerary.

The Taj Mahal (2 days/ 1 night) Delhi - Agra - Delhi Being only 200km from Delhi, the Taj Mahal in Agra is easily reached by road, or you can take the Shatabdi Express train.

Shimla (4 days/3 nights) Delhi - Shimla - Delhi Situated in the north-west Himalayas, Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh and the former summer capital of British India. Shimla retains a colonial aura with its grand old buildings and the central attraction is The Mall, packed with shops and eateries. Travelling by train between Kalka and Shimla is a spectacular journey.

Amritsar ( 3 days/2 nights) Amritsar Home to the Golden Temple, is one of the most ancient and fascinating cities of India and is an important centre of Sikh history and culture.

Western India

Ajanta & Ellora Caves (3 days/2 nights) Aurangabad Located 30km from Aurangabad are the World Heritage-listed caves of Ellora. Over five centuries, Buddhist, Hindu and Jain monks carved monasteries, chapels and temples are decorated with imagination and detail. 106km northeast are the Buddhist caveds of Ajanta.

Goa Beach Extension (5 days/4 nights) Goa Is known for its long streches of magnificent palm fringed beaches, gleaming whitewashed churches and its unique blend of customs and culture.

India by Train 

India has one of the most extensive rail systems in the world. As the railway stations in India can be very crowded and confusing, these two tours include pre-booked train sectors and a representative to assist you safely to your assigned seat.

North India by Train (8 days/7 nights) Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Mumbai Experience all the sights and sounds of Northern India while travelling on the country's extensive rail network.

Nepal Hotels & Sightseeings

Nepal is a small country rich in culture and natural beauty. The diversity is astonishing, over 40 different ethnic groups inhabit Nepal, each with their own language and traditions. While Nepal is the only Hindu Kingdom in the world, it is also the birth place of Buddha; therefore, the two religions are intertwined in a unique way.

Travellers to Nepal begin their journey in Kathmandu Valley, the historical centre where three major towns lie, Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur.

For easy access to dazzling views of the Himalayan mountain range head to Dhulikhel. Pokhara, situated in the Valley of the Seti River, has an all-year-round superb climate and stunning close views of the Annapurnas. Enhancing Pokhara's appeal is Phewa Lake at the foot of the gigantic peaks, only 25km away.

Chitwan National Park has some wonderful animal viewing. Royal Bengal tigers roam the region and one-horned rhinos can be seen charging through the undergrowth.
