Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
Start the day with a visit to Jamad Masjid and then hop on a rickshaw and ride around the colourful narrow alleys of Old Delhi. Discover the gems on Chandni Chowk, see the firecracker market, antiques, perfumes, Kinari Bazaar, spices and sample some street food. At Gurudwara Bangla Sahab you can see the temple’s community kitchen that feeds 10,000 people a day. Continue to the museum of Ghandi Smriti before seeing the highlights of New Delhi, finishing at Humayan’s Tomb. (B)
Fly from Delhi to Varanasi. Take a sunset boat ride on the Ganges and witness an aarti prayer ceremony performed by priests. (B)
Take a dawn boat ride on the Ganges and enjoya tour through the narrow streets to witness local life and take in the sights. In the afternoon visit Sarnath. You will then visit an Akhara, a traditional wrestling centre and a must-see experience. Varanasi is also a hub for traditional music, and this afternoon you have the chance to visit a workshop and interact with the craftsman making the instruments. (B)
This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to
Khajuraho. This afternoon visit the world’s finest temple art. (B)
Travel by road to Jhansi to board the train to Agra. On arrival see the impressive palaces and wall paintings of Orchha's fort complex. (B)
Tour the legendary Taj Mahal, an immense mausoleum covered with intricate marble decorations, and the beautiful Red Fort. This afternoon a heritage walk, facilitated by the community youth, will uncover the history of the significant monuments of the Mughal era. (B)
Depart for Jaipur by road. Stops will be made along the way at Fatehpur Sikri as well as Chand Baoli at Abanheri to see the ancient Indian system of water conservation. (B)
Today enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Jaipur, taking in the Palace of the Winds, the old market centre and the magnificent Amber Fort. At the City Palace you will be allowed into the residential area of the royal family for tea in one of the living rooms. (B)
Visit the vibrant desert town of Bikaner. In the afternoon tour Junagarh Fort. (B)
Travel to Jaisalmer. (B)
Take in the sights of Jaisalmer including Jaisalmer Fort, Gadsisar Lake and some interesting havelis. Afterwards jump in a 4x4 for a jeep desert safari. (B)
Depart by road for Jodhpur. In the late afternoon visit a Bishnoi village and learn of the unique way of life of the community. (B)
Visit the stunning hilltop Mehrangarh Fortress and walk through the old town and local bazaar. End your touring at Jaswant Thada cenotaphs along with a visit the fort. (B)
Journey to Udaipur via the Jain temple complex in Ranakpur. (B)
Tour Udaipur, visiting the ornate City Palace and Jagdish Temple. Then enjoy an exclusive experience, seeing the rare art of Jal Sanjhi - painting on water - at a priest's home. This evening take a boat ride on Lake Pichola. (B)
Fly to Delhi where you will spend the night in the city of Gurguon, which is located close to the airport. This evening experience an amazing Bollywood evening at the Kingdom of Dreams Show. (B)(D)
