Depart on the bullet train to Nagano. From Nagano, take a local train to Yudanaka and transfer to your Koykuya ryokan. (D)
Make your way to the Jigokudani Yaen Koen and see the famous Snow Monkeys bathing in hot springs. Accustomed to humans, they can be observed from very close. Spend the afternoon exploring the quaint streets of Obuse. Pop into the local sake brewery for a taste of their delicious homemade drink. (B)(D)
