How do they get around?

Classic Dragoman Overland Trucks:

• Purpose-built hard-sided Mercedes trucks, fully equipped for any conditions.

• Comfortable and reliable, with a safe for valuables, medical kits, rear and front roof seats, water tank, etc.

Encounter Overland Trucks:

• Mercedes based trucks, adapted for the terrain in which they travel.

• Canvas top and roll-up sides in Africa and Asia and hard-sides in South America.

• 2 man tent with ground sheet and mosquito netting.

• Open fire cooking grills, Gas stove.

• Complete kitchen and fridge.

• 350 litre fresh water tanks.

• Awning for sun/rain protection, large cook tent.

Overland Crew

There are one or two professional Dragoman crew per trip, plus a cook on Southern & Eastern Africa trips.

What about food?

When camping, participants share the cooking and shopping (except in East & Southern Africa). When staying in hotels they eat out, trying the local cuisine, at travellers own expense.
