Travel to Kandalama via Dambulla to visit the Rock Cave Temple. Housing some of the most unique and exquisite cave art and statues of Lord Buddha, this is one of region's most impressive sites. (B)
This morning explore the ramparts and moats surrounding the World Heritage Site of Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Climb the steps to the top for spectacular views. Afterwards visit Polonnaruwa, the island’s medieval capital. Return to Kandalama. (B)
Visit Anuradhapura, the first capital and the grandest city of ancient Ceylon. Return to Kandalama. (B)
Continue your journey to Trincomalee. On arrival the remainder of the day is at leisure. (B)

Depart the coast for Kandy. En route stop at Matale and visit a spice garden. Learn the therapeutic values of spices and processes over a refreshing cup of herbal tea. (B)
Experience a cooking lesson and prepare typical Sri Lankan dishes. Your host will take you to a local market before returning to the manor to lean the traditional methods of cooking. This afternoon explore Kandy followed by a cultural show in the evening. (B)(L)
En route to Nurawa Eliya visit a tea plantation and a tea factory. (B)
Enjoy a city tour of Nuwara Eliya. The town is surrounded by windy roads and blankets of tea plantations, dotted with British colonial architecture. There is also the option to jump on a bike and pedal along the banks of the lake. (B)
Travel on to Colombo. (B)
This afternoon, experience a walking tour away from the typical tourist spots and discover the history of the old town. (B)
