9. VARIATIONS TO DETAILS ON THIS WEBSITE
Considerable care has been taken to compile the information on this website but circumstances not within Adventure World’s control may necessitate changes in itineraries, accommodation and costs in which case you will be informed as soon as possible. When it is necessary to change a hotel Adventure World reserves the right to substitute accommodation of at least a similar standard.
10. HOTEL DESCRIPTIONS AND PHOTOGRAPHS
Hotel and facility descriptions featured on this website are based on current hotel guides and information provided by suppliers and may change at any time. Pictures utilized may not reflect the exact room, décor, view or other specifications.
There have been attempts at globalizing the hotel “star ratings” so that they become an internationally recognised and reliable standard. Adventure World advises differences may exist in the quality of overseas accommodation to that of a similar star rated hotel in Australia. Adventure World representatives and its operators regularly inspect the hotels represented.
It is a condition of booking one of Adventure World’s tours that travellers are adequately insured for the full duration of their travel arrangements in respect of illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal item cancellation and curtailment. We are able to recommend and offer a range of insurance products to provide you with adequate insurance cover. You may purchase a suitable policy with another specialist travel insurance provider; we recommend that adequate insurance is purchased at the deposit stage.
12. INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMITS (IDP’s)
In many countries an International Driving Permit is a legal requirement to drive a car.
Not complying with local regulations regarding licensing can have serious consequences in the eyes of the law in the relevant country. No IDP could mean a car rental request being denied. We recommend holding a valid IDP to protect yourself where applicable.
13. INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL
You are responsible for all immigration, passport, visa, health, quarantine and customs laws, regulations, orders, demands or other requirements of countries visited or transited. Official travel advice issued by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is available by calling (in Australia) 1300 555 135 or visiting their website www.dfat.gov.au. We recommend that you review this information both prior to making your booking and prior to departure. We strongly recommend that you also register your upcoming travel plans through the smarttraveller.gov.au site.
