Transfer by coach to My Tho dock to board the Aqua Mekong. (D)
Begin the day at Binh Thanh mat weaving village or opt to visit Sa Dec to stroll the vibrant market. In the afternoon, visit My An Hung, a typical Mekong Delta village. You will be invited to a local’s home to taste local fruits while listening to traditional folk songs performed by villagers. (B)(L)(D)
Travel by skiff along Bassac Canal to Chau Doc floating market then drive to Long Son Pagoda atop Sam Mountain. Return via the bustling morning market. You may choose to take an optional 18 kilometre bike ride on Long Khanh Island or a rickshaw ride to visit Tan Chau Market with a chef. (B)(L)(D)
You can explore the riverbank on two wheels if you wish, past Buddhist temples and thatch houses. After lunch, board the marine-grade aluminium skiffs and head towards the remote village of Preah Prosop, where little has changed over many years. (B)(L)(D)
