Day 1

Copenhagen

Arrive into Copenhagen. The 72-hr City Card grants free entry to many of Copenhagen’s museums, palaces and other sights to explore. Visit Copenhagen’s trendy Meatpacking District, located a short walk from the hotel. This area is home to numerous restaurants, bars and markets. Stop by the local food market, open every weekend during summer months, and sample some of the local delicacies such as Frikadeller (Danish meatballs).

Day 2

Copenhagen

Enjoy a 4-hour culinary walking tour of Copenhagen, starting at Torvehallerne, the fully covered market halls. Sample artisan cheese, developed in collaboration with the city’s Michelin-starred chefs. Try liquorice, caramels and preserves from some of the most artisan small producers. During the culinary experience tour, pass several of the city’s greatest landmarks and discuss its history. Exclusive to this tour, try smørrebrød, the open sandwiches and sample three different types of home-brewed beers at a microbrewery. The most classic and unmissable street food in Copenhagen is a hotdog, which you’ll be able to enjoy a gourmet version. (B)(L)

Day 3

Copenhagen

Explore the café life of wonderful Copenhagen in more detail and visit a fine dining restaurant for dinner, or settle for the famous rød pølse hot dog, the choice is yours. (B)

Day 4

Copenhagen - Oslo

Make your way to the pier to board the DFDS Seaways ferry for an overnight cruise to Oslo. A tribute to DFDS’s Danish heritage, the onboard restaurant, Sjø offers freshly prepared Scandinavian dishes, taking their inspiration from the surrounding landscape. Sjø is perfectly located onboard, offering views of the beautiful Scandinavian coastline. A four-course dinner is included, however it’s possible to upgrade to five or even seven courses including a wine package. (B)(D)

Day 5

Oslo

Explore the Norwegian capital using the 48-hr Oslo Pass, which gives visitors free entry to most of the city museums and attractions, free travel on all public transport in Oslo and immediate surroundings, and special offers in restaurants, shops, entertainment and leisure venues. Discover the history of the city at the medieval Akershus Fortress, and at the same time see great urban development projects in the “Barcode” area in Bjørvika. The Oslo Fjord, urban areas and the surrounding forests mark the uniqueness and contrasts of this fascinating maritime city. (B)

Day 6

Oslo

Experience a 4-hr deluxe food tour of Oslo. The city’s cuisine has a strong maritime theme and is now a foodie hot spot thanks to what’s known as New Nordic Cuisine — food that revolves around nature, purity, freshness and simplicity. Explore some of the hidden corners of Oslo otherwise hard to find. Walk to some the city’s lesser-known areas and head for Mathallen, a covered market stuffed with food stands selling Norwegian and international produce. Enjoy dishes aplenty as you browse the stalls, including rich local cheese made by small-scale producers. Pause at the raw food specialist Bondens Butikk to try Norwegian cured meat. (B)(L)

Day 7

Oslo

The tour concludes today after breakfast. (B)
