Day by day Itinerary

Day 1


Upon arrival in Toronto, transfer (own cost) to your overnight accommodation.

Day 2


Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour through the scenic Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls.  Highlights of the tour include a lunch buffet overlooking the falls, and the “Journey Behind the Falls” attraction. Continue on along River Road and the Niagara Gorge to the historic community of Niagara-on-the-Lake before returning to Toronto. (L)

Day 3


Depart Toronto for the 4 ½ hour journey to arrive at the Algonquin Log Cabin Lodge at 12:30pm where lunch awaits. After the hot lunch, you spend the afternoon exploring Surprise Lake on snowshoes. A tasty dinner in front of the wood stove completes your day. (B)(L)(D)

Day 4


Rise and enjoy a hearty Canadian breakfast. Learn or refresh your backcountry ski skills before taking off across Surprise Lake and the island circuit. Stride and glide through the hemlock forest trails and enjoy the silence of the snow laden forest.

The afternoon either to ski or snowshoe the highlands of Kettle Lake/ Cardiac Hill; to ski to the heated wall tent down Surprise Lake, or to relax and grab a book in front of the fire. Sauna and cocktails before another home-cooked feast finish the day.  (B)(L)(D)

Day 5


This morning ‘harnesses’, ‘gee’, ‘ha’ and ‘gang lines’ are just a few of the expressions you learn in the dogsled orientation before mushing your own team of huskies on a day trip.  Enjoy lunch on the trail and return to the dog yard at approximately 3pm. Un-hook your team and depart for Toronto.  (B)

Day 6


The check-out from your hotel concludes this memorable adventure.
