Take the bullet train to Nagano for a magical visit with the famous Snow Monkeys of Jigokudani Yaen Koen as they bathe in the hot springs. Spend an afternoon exploring the quaint streets of Obuse and visit the local sake brewery for a taste of their homemade drink, before spending the night in a traditional ryokan.

Depart on the bullet train to Nagano. From Nagano, take a local train to Yudanaka and transfer to your Koykuya ryokan. (D)
Make your way to the Jigokudani Yaen Koen and see the famous Snow Monkeys bathing in hot springs. Accustomed to humans, they can be observed from very close. Spend the afternoon exploring the quaint streets of Obuse. Pop into the local sake brewery for a taste of their delicious homemade drink. (B)(D)
Take the train back to Tokyo.
