After breakfast in Luang Prabang, transfer by road to Nong Khiaw. After checking in to the hotel, enjoy lunch by the riverside. After lunch, visit the historic cave of Phathok, used by the locals as shelter during the “Secret War”, via a beautiful scenic walk. From the cave, enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding rice paddies and valley. Enjoy sunset over the river and the evening in Nong Khiaw. (L)
Enjoy breakfast overlooking the river as the mist hangs in the valley. Take a scenic half day trek, suitable for all ages, to the hidden Tadmok Waterfall where you can have a refreshing swim. The trek is reached by a long boat ride along the spectacular Nam Ou River passing villages surrounded by mountains and friendly Khmu villages like Sopkhong and Huay Hoy. Back at Nong Khiaw relax in the evening. (B)(L)
After a final breakfast along the river, enjoy the scenic ride from Nong Khiaw to Luang Prabang, where your journey ends. (B)
