This morning you will be picked up and transferred to the countryside outside of Kota Kinabalu to the scenic Kiulu Valley. Stop for views of a suspension bridge and local market en route. After an arrival briefing, you will
be invited to try some local activities which may include rice processing, blow pipe use, and rubber tapping. After a traditional lunch, take a leisurely village walk offering views of the valley. Pass through lush paddy fields and over hanging bridges before returning to the farmstay. (L)(D)
After breakfast, take a walk to visit local farms and gardens. Try your hand and test your skills at rice planting and net fishing, and pick local produce with the Kiulu farming families. Help prepare a lunch of locally- grown ingredients, and afterwards learn about more cultural activities including traditional games and instruments. There is time for a swim in the nearby river.
