Day 1


Arrive in Kuching and freshen up before an afternoon seeing the sites of Kuching. Someof Kuching’s main landmarks including the City Hall, and Tua Pek Kong, the oldest Chinese temple in the city. Visit a local market before exploring the colonial city centre on foot. Continue along bustling India Street with its traditional shophouses before dinner at a local restaurant. (D)

Day 2

Kuching - Batang Ai

After breakfast, depart for Batang Ai. Along the way, stop at Semenggoh Orang Utan Wildlife Centre and Serian City’s traditional open-air market. Visit a pepper farm and Lachau village, then continue  to the Batang Ai Jetty. Upon arrival, transfer by boat to the resort. Check in and spend the evening at leisure at the resort.   (B)(L)(D)

Day 3

Batang Ai

After a leisurely breakfast depart for Batang Ai Longhouse – an authentic dwelling of the local Iban people who were once feared for their head-hunting practices. Explore the longhouse and learn about the lifestyle of the Iban. Witness a traditional dance (ngajat), and demonstrations of a blowpipe – an ancient hunting weapon. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at the longhouse and then return to the resort early afternoon.  (B)(L)(D)

Day 4

Batang Ai - Kuching

After breakfast, transfer to the jetty for your return to Kuching by boat and road, where your journey ends. (B)
