On arrival at Windhoek International Airport, collect your rental vehicle. Drive north through the garden town of Okahandja towards Otjiwarongo and continue to the Waterberg Plateau National Park where you will spend the night at Waterberg Wilderness Plateau. (D)
Depart from the lodge and continue north passing through Otavi and Tsumeb before arriving at the eastern gate to Etosha National Park. At the von Lindequist Gate, enter the private reserve of Onguma. Spend two nights at Onguma Tented Camp. The Onguma Reserve offers a number of optional excursions which can be booked and paid for at the camp. Highly recommended is agame drive on the reserve in the afternoon or alternatively morning game drives in the open safari vehicles within Etosha National Park. (B)(D)

Enjoy a full day of game viewing in Etosha National Park within your own rental vehicle. The Etosha Pan, which the park is named after, is approximately 6000km in size and excellent for game viewing. Drive through the park departing through the Anderson Gate to Ongava Private Reserve. Overnight at Ongava Lodge. (B)(D)
Depart from the savannah landscapes to the rugged vast lands of Damaraland. Proceed to Outjo, stopping at Outjo Bakery for some freshly baked German goodies. Continue west towards Khorixas and en route visit the geological wonder - the Vingerklip rock. From Khorixas continue westwards to the Petrified Forest and then onto Damaraland, allowing for time to visit the Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes. Spend the night at Mowani Mountain Lodge. (B)(D)
En route to Swakopmund visit Twyfelfontein, famous for its large number of rock art paintings and engravings. Continue on the gravel road, passing the Brandberg Mountains and Uis, to the coastal town of Henties Bay and continue on to Swakopmund. (B)
Explore this quaint town or join an optional morning cruise from Walvis Bay. This is a drive of around 30km with towering dunes on one side and the cold Atlantic on the other. In the afternoon join one of the optional activities on offer. (B)
Today drive via Walvis Bay, through Namib Naukluft Park, to the Namib Desert and your overnight accommodation at Sossusvlei Lodge. The lodge offers a number of optional excursions. (B)(D)
An early morning will be rewarded with the awesome sight of seeing the colours of the dunes change from brown to orange, ochre to apricot and all shades in-between. Enter the park at sunrise and make your way towards the 4x2 parking area where you leave your vehicle and take the optional 4x4 shuttle into the vlei. Return to the gate after a stop at Sesriem Canyon. (B)(D)
Today leave the desert behind and drive back to Windhoek International Airport for a late afternoon flight. (B)
