Day by day Itinerary of

Yukon Quest

Day 1


Tonight you may enjoy your first glimpse of the Northern Lights.

Day 2


Feel the excitement in the air as you watch the teams load the sleds before the Yukon Quest begins! Visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve to see moose, caribou and musk-ox.

Day 3


Travel to a scenic alpine valley for an exciting adventure of dog sledding. You'll spend two days mushing your own team of Alaskan huskies along a winter trail.

Day 4

Day 5

Whitehorse - Dawson City

Travel through the Yukon interior to Dawson City, a city which retains its pioneer feel.

Day 6

Dawson City

The town's fire siren will announce the first team to arrive. Spectators will have the chance to meet the mushers and huskies.

Day 7

Dawson City - Whitehorse

Stop by the Five Finger Rapids overlook for views of the four impressive chunks of rock in the middle of the river.

Day 8
