Refugio Amazonas & Tambopata Research Centre

Day 1

Puerto Maldonado - Refugio Amazonas

Arrive in Puerto Maldonado. After a short orientation tour, travel by boat to Refugio Amazonas. This evening, go caiman searching by the rivers’ edge. (L)(D)
 

Day 2

Tambopata

Climb the Canopy Tower for spectacular views of Tambopata Nature Reserve before a boat transfer to Tambopata. Enjoy two days of activities including a visit to the Macaw’s Clay Lick and day and night hikes searching for wildlife and native birds. (B)(L)(D)
