The modern hi-tech Blue Train travels smoothly on an air-cushion suspension system throughout its 39-hour 2-night journey from Cape Town to Pretoria [or vice versa] with reduced speed at night allowing guests a peaceful night’s sleep.
On board entertainment includes a 24 channel entertainment system, GPS and a driver’s eye view camera showing the countryside ahead.
Both northbound and southbound departures will have a two-and-a-half hour off-the-train excursion in Kimberly.
Each Blue Train suite has a fully appointed en-suite, featuring either a bath or a shower. All suites are equipped with telephone, television monitor, WIFI access and individually controlled air-conditioning. Deluxe Suites are a choice of a twin-bedded suite with shower, or double bed suite with three quarter size bath.
