Experience Onboard

HOW DOES IT WORK – CAN YOU GET ON AND OFF WHERE YOU PLEASE?

Rocky Mountaineer is not an ordinary train journey. After boarding, you won’t stop until you reach your final destination for the day. The train travels only during daylight hours and at an average speed of just 50kph so you can fully enjoy the stunning scenery.

DO YOU SLEEP ON THE TRAIN?

No, the trips are daylight rail tours which shows off all the amazing scenery. After a day onboard the train through through the Canadian Rockies or American Southwest, evenings are spent in comfortable hotel accommodation.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

Enjoy gourmet meals while onboard the train. Additional inclusions vary from package to package, ensuring flexibility and a range of options to suit all travellers.

GoldLeaf, SilverLeaf Plus and SilverLeaf.

For the Canadian Rockies we suggest GoldLeaf Service. This has you seated in one of their bi-level glass-dome coaches. Sink into your spacious seat on the upper level and enjoy elegantly plated meals prepared with local ingredients in the lower-level dining area. You also have access to an exclusive outdoor viewing platform to get closer to the action.

For those on Rocky Mountaineer's Rockies to the Red Rocks journey, where only SilverLeaf Service is available, we suggest enhancing your experience with SilverLeaf Plus. This allows you exclusive access to a lounge car, offering additional space indoors to relax and soak in the scenery, as well as a small viewing area outdoors. It also offers an elevated dining experience and signature cocktails.
