Day 1

JOHANNESBURG

Arrive at Johannesburg airport and be met by a hotel representative to walk across the road to the InterContinental O.R. Hotel, close to the international arrival’s hall, to relax before a mid-morning flight to Victoria Falls the next morning.

Day 2

JOHANNESBURG – VICTORIA FALLS

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Victoria Falls. On arrival, you will be transferred to the Victoria Falls Safari Club. This boutique adults only property is located close to Victoria Falls and offers guests the opportunity to view game at the property’s private waterhole from the communal areas.  Enjoy sundowners at the Club’s bar or pool overlooking the water hole, and then make your way to the popular Boma Dinner to start your African holiday with local cuisine and entertainment.  (B)(D)

Day 3

VICTORIA FALLS

Enjoy a delicious early breakfast at the Safari Club whilst keeping an eye out for anything arriving at the waterhole.  After breakfast you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Town to join a guided walking tour of the breathtaking Victoria Falls. Discover how the falls formed, hear about local customs and traditions surrounding the greatest falls in Africa. There is an opportunity to visit markets offering arts and crafts created by local artisans before making your way to The Lookout Café for a lunch overlooking the gorge and watching adrenalin seekers taking flight on the gorge swing and zipline. 

In the afternoon engage in some R&R by the pool or add in a heli tour to understand how the power of water has carved out the cataracts and gorges from above.  The afternoon will involve submersing yourself into the ebbs and flow of the Mighty Zambezi River with a sunset cruise on the intimate Victoria Sunset Cruise that allows guests to reach the very shallow water amongst the islands directly above the Victoria Falls.  Return to the lodge to enjoy dinner under the stars with the sounds of the bush enveloping you. Day 4

VICTORIA FALLS - CHOBE National park - VICTORIA FALLS

An early start today with a morning pick up to visit the home of the elephants, Chobe National Park.  This full day activity will allow guests to enjoy a safari drive in the park and a leisurely river cruise along the Chobe River whilst watching the animals come down to drink and play before returning to the Safari Club. (B)

Day 5

VICTORIA FALLS - CAPE TOWN

Enjoy breakfast before transferring to the airport for your flight to the modern, cosmopolitan city of Cape Town, centered at the base of Table Mountain. A private transfer takes you to the bustling V&A Waterfront where you will be based at The Queen Victoria Hotel for an evening of leisure. You may indulge in sundowners at one of the V&As bars, try the tasting menu at one of the many restaurants or stroll the marina looking for seals returning to the waterfront for the night. (B)

Day 6

CAPE TOWN

This morning’s tour takes you to the top of Table Mountain and through the Malay Quarter and Company Gardens. Visit the Castle of Good Hope and Diamond Works. Travel to the Milnerton area, the perfect place to photograph Table Mountain.

The afternoon is at leisure where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the vibrant V&A Waterfront; visit the local artisans in the Watershed or take the afternoon ferry to visit Robben Island, infamously known for the imprisoning civil rights activist later President, Nelson Mandela. Robben Island came to symbolize the triumph of the human spirit over enormous hardship and adversity. (B)

Day 7

CAPE TOWN

Today’s excursion takes you to the southwestern tip of the Cape Peninsula, offering some of the most spectacular views in the world.  The scenic drive travels along the Atlantic coast, passing through the cosmopolitan suburbs to Hout Bay, one of Cape Town’s best-kept secrets. Here, there is an optional short boat trip to Duiker Island to view the Cape Fur Seals. From Hout Bay travel to Cape Point, a breathtaking rocky promontory.

Return via Cape Point Town to visit the penguin colony at Boulders beach and explore Fish Hoek fishing village. (B)
 

Day 8

CAPE TOWN

After a hearty breakfast overlooking Table Mountain in the background, you will be picked up for a full day of wine tasting amongst the beautiful areas of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. These scenic valleys house some of the country’s best wine estates home to white and classic French-style wines. 

You will have the opportunity to have a cellar tour and wine tastings at three vineyards with a stop for lunch (own account) in Franschhoek. (B)

Day 9

CAPE TOWN - GREATER KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

This morning you are transferred to Cape Town Airport for a flight to Hoedspruit Airport and on to Kapama Buffalo Camp. This luxury tented camp, located in a private conservancy bordering the Kruger National Park, is a tranquil and intimate adult only camp of 8 luxurious suites. An afternoon game drive seated in a six-seater game vehicle offers guests a window to the game-rich Kapama Reserve. (B)(D)

Day 10

GREATER KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Wake up bright for your early morning game drive. The Kapama Reserve is home to over 140 mammal species, including the prized ‘Big 5’ including the critically endangered white rhino. Birding enthusiasts will be delighted at the hundreds of species of birds recorded on the property.

Late afternoon head out on a game drive, seeking some of the numerous nocturnal animals that begin to awake from their afternoon slumber.  (B)(L)(D)

Day 11

GREATER KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Make the most of your last day in this vast wilderness. Take a walking safari, the skilled ranger shares knowledge of the medicinal plants, insects, and birdlife and traditional ways on the land or just indulge in the luxury of the sounds of the bush at the lodge. (B)(L)(D)

Day 12

GREATER KRUGER NATIONAL PARK – Johannesburg

Bid farewell to the Kapama and transfer to Hoedspruit Airport to connect with your flight to O.R Tambo Johannesburg Airport and home. (B)
