Travel south via the granite Similan islands and the dive sites around Hin Daeng then visit Langkawi before returning along the coast to Phuket.

Phuket, Thailand’s largest island, lies in the Andaman Sea and is joined to the mainland by a causeway. Please board your Star Clippers Tall Ship at Patong Bay, Phuket between 3pm and 5pm. A transfer from your Phuket hotel or the Phuket airport to the Ship is not included in the trip package but can be purchased at an additional cost at the time of booking. (D)
The five gorgeous islands (including Ko Surin) that make up the Surin Islands Marine National Park sit 60km offshore, just 5km from the Thailand–Myanmar marine border. The islands’ sheltered waters also attract chow lair – sea gypsies live off the water's fauna and flora by using simple tools such as nets and spears to forage for food. (B)(L)(D)
The Similan Islands, or Nine Islands as they are also known because of their number, nestle in the Andaman Sea to the north of Phuket and are world-renowned among diving enthusiasts for underwater sightseeing. (B)(L)(D)
Hin Daeng which you visit in the early morning is one of the most dramatic dive sites in Thailand. It consists of three small rocks visible at the surface, before plunging down to a depth of over 50 metres. These, remote, deep water rocks are home to many manta rays, whale sharks, barracuda and countless species of reef fish. Ko Rok Noi is part of the Lanta group. These islands are part of a National Marine Park. (B)(L)(D)
The breathtaking Malaysian island of Langkawi is one of a group of 104 islands scattered in the calm seas off the northern-most tip of Malaysia. The clear, tropical waters here provide some of the most spectacular swimming and diving in the world, while scenes of paddy fields contoured into limestone hillsides, lush tropical forests, entrance nature lovers on land. These islands are close to the Malaysian island of Langkawi and are characterised by towering rock formations and beautiful beaches. Ko Butang is a small, remote island covered with lush rainforest and fringed with pristine white sandy beaches. Ko Adang has brooding, densely forested hills, white-sand beaches and healthy coral reefs. (B)(L)(D)
The sheer-sided sea mountains that rise vertically out of Phang Nga Bay form some of Thailand’s most spectacular scenery. Kong Ho is one of the prettiest bays in the area, huge monolithic rocks provides shade all day long on a beautiful white silica sand beach. (B)(L)(D)
