Day 1

Dong Hoi - Phong Nha

On arrival at either Dong Hoi Airport or  train station you will be met and transferred to UNESCO-listed Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. The park protects over 104 kilometres of caves, grottoes and underground rivers making it one of the most outstanding limestone karst ecosystems in the world. Many of the caves are still unexplored, currently only about 20 have been fully explored. Begin with a half-day easy biking adventure exploring Bong Lai village and the surrounding peaceful countryside. Cycle on quiet village paths and roads as you pass through rice paddies and small hamlets. After a local lunch, take a boat trip on the Son River to explore the most popular Phong Nha Water cave, travelling through mystical tunnels filled with giant stalactites and stalagmites. (L)

Day 2

Phong Nha

After breakfast, visit the Wine Cave, which has a fascinating war-time history. Take a peaceful morning stroll through a village, enjoying the fields and picturesque rural landscapes. After lunch we have time to visit Paradise Cave, one of the larger and most impressive accessible caves in the area. (B)(L)

Day 3

Phong Nha - Dong Hoi

Enjoy breakfast before you transfer back to Dong Hoi Airport or railway station. (B)
