Day 1
On arrival in Vancouver make your own way to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to discover the city, or ask us about optional activities to enhance your stay. Fairmont Waterfront’s green practices within the hotel and into the neighbouring communities rank as a ‘5 Green Key‘ Hotel.
Day 2
Discover Vancouver's most popular sites on this fully narrated city excursion. Stop to explore the totem pole display and Prospect Point in Stanley Park, the art community on Granville Island, shopping mecca of Robson street, historic Gastown, Chinatown, Vancouver Harbour, and the sandy beaches of English Bay.
Day 3
This escape from the city is an ideal way to experience the natural wonders surrounding Vancouver and Whistler. Gaze out over everchanging landscapes surrounding the Sea-to-Sky Highway, with scenic stops at the 335 metre Shannon Falls and a visit to the Squamish Adventure Centre. Continuing the journey to Whistler, this world famous resort village also hosted many 2010 Olympic outdoor sporting events. Spend an afternoon exploring eclectic downtown shops and cafes, hiking along nature trails, or relaxing and breathing in the fresh mountain air. Fairmont Chateau Whistler’s green practices within the hotel and into the community rank as a ‘5 Green Key‘ Hotel.
Day 4
Board the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, the longest and highest lift in the world, for incredible views of towering volcanic peaks and coastal rainforest. The Peak 2 Peak Gondola is a breath-taking 4.4 kilometre journey to infinite possibilities. Redefining the Whistler summer experience by creating limitless new ways to get up-close-and personal with the mountains. Also, visit the Peak to Peak Viewing Gallery, a raised walkway that gives you the opportunity to see the gondola’s engineering and inner workings.
Day 5
This morning is free to explore Whistler before departing by floatplane bound for Victoria's Inner Harbour. Enjoy spectacular views of the Gulf Islands, Black Tusk peak & the Howe Sound. Harbour Air Seaplanes – North America’s first carbon neutral commercial airline, and aiming for an all-electric fleet by 2022. A walkable, healthy, outdoor-focused city that values eco-tourism, Victoria is the first destination in North America to be carbon neutral certified.
Day 6
Today's coastal excursion is an exhilarating round trip of 50 to 80 kilometres in search of orcas, minke whales, grey whales, porpoises, harbour seals and other marine wildlife. You will ride aboard a 14-metre ocean cruiser or a custom-built Zodiac boat that offers high speed with extraordinary stability giving you an exhilarating, safe and intimate whale watching experience. Commentary is provided by a certified Marine biologist and naturalist. The rest of the day is free to explore Victoria. Our whale watching operator is carbon neutral and works hard to ensure that our whale and wildlife watching services have a positive social, economic and environmental impact.
Day 7
Stroll through the floral splendour of the Butchart Gardens and enjoy some free time to explore Victoria. Depart mid-afternoon on a scenic floatplane flight back to downtown Vancouver.
