Spend the day discovering the highlights of this coastal city. Explore Stanley Park, visit Granville Island, head north to check out Capilano Suspension Bridge, or wander through Gastown.
Travel up the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway to visit the resort village of Whistler. Known for its snow sports in the winter, summer is equally worth a visit to explore the beautiful scenery and take part in some adventure. This afternoon, take the Peak 2 Peak Gondola up the mountain for spectacular views, before exploring the village on a foodie tour this evening. (D)
This morning, take a closer look at Blackcomb Mountain on a Jeep 4x4 Glacier Safari. No two tours are the same as the changing mountain colours and wildlife create new paths for exploration. Ascend from Whistler Valley past glacier fed rivers. View bear and other mountain wildlife on the way to the snow-capped Horstman Glacier for spectacular views of the Whistler Village and the Coast Mountain Range. This evening, join a guide for a guided twilight wildlife viewing canoe trip on the River of Golden Dreams for another chance to spot bear, and many other species.
Continue your journey north west to Echo Valley Ranch, nestled in the breathtaking setting of BC’s Cariboo Mountains. Part Ranch, part spa, part indescribable, the ranch sits amid hundreds of thousands of acres of pristine mountains, lush valleys, pine forests, and desert canyons. (D)
Spend the day exploring all that the ranch has to offer. Wander across the ranch with the faithful border collies, get pampered in the award-winning world class spa (additional cost), experience the backcountry on horseback (additional cost), and enjoy a farm fresh family-style meal. (B)(L)(D)
Farewell the Ranch this morning, as it’s time to head to the year-round mountain resort of Sun Peaks, where three mountains surround a European-style, pedestrian-only village. A summer visit to Sun Peaks brings colourful alpine blossoms, a plethora of outdoor activities, festivals, outdoor concerts and sporting events.
Wake up in the mountains at your leisure before heading to breakfast at one of the local cafes. Take the chairlift up to spend the morning on a guided hiking tour in the alpine. Learn about the local flora & fauna while enjoying the panoramic views, vivid wildflowers and wildlife in their natural environment. Following the tour, we recommend grabbing lunch at the recently renovated mid-mountain Sunburst Restaurant, so you can continue exploring the hiking trails on your own in the afternoon before taking the Sunburst Express back to the village.
For your second full day in the village, there are many options to explore. For the golfers, Sun Peaks is home to British Columbia’s highest golf course. If pampering is more your style, visit the full service Spa for a treatment of hot stone massage. For the adventure lovers, why not join a cross country bike tour, a horse ride, or perhaps an off-road Segway tour.
After a final stroll through the village, it’s time to head to wine country. Leaving Sun Peaks, head south to Kelowna, the birthplace of winemaking in British Columbia. With over 40 wineries within a 20 minute drive, as well as craft breweries, cideries and distillers, there is plenty to swirl, sip and savour.
With so many wineries to choose from, it’s best to let the local experts be your guide. Join a Taste, Savour & Indulge tour to visit 5 wineries, including cellar tours and 20-25 tastings, along with a delicious lunch. (L)
Bidding farewell to the Okanagan Valley, head back towards the coast for a final night in Vancouver. For a final night treat, join a gastronomic tour through Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhood. (D)
